The Fabulousness of Flax

The mentions of flax in the media recently seem to be overwhelming I agree, but it’s still not overrated. Not even a little bit. Here are the benefits, and there are so, so many:

Decreases bloating and aids digestion, helps in detoxifying the body, improves quality of hair, nails and skin, helps stabilise menopausal symptoms, and increases energy, vitality, and stamina
Increases sense of calmness under stress
Reduces threat of blood clots
Protects against cancers
Lowers high blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels
Better regulation of blood sugar levels (good for diabetics)
Eases inflammatory tissue conditions, including arthritis
Alleviates dry skin, eczema and psoriasis
Enhances the immune system
Increases metabolic rate with a positive impact on weight management
Helps with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
Natural laxative, contains every essential amino acid (it’s got lots of protein), contains        Omega 3s and 6s, and decreases risk of heart disease, coronary artery disease, and strokes

Here is a good article about how to easily add flax into your everyday diet:

Note: Flax seed is very high in fiber so always drink plenty of fluids to encourage movement through your system and aid in detoxification and excretion.
